On June 11, 2024, the Lao Bar Association held a meeting to listen to and approve the program and action plan on promoting gender roles within the Lao Bar Association presented by experts. At this meeting, international organizations in Lao PDR and representatives from the Department of International Cooperation and the Women's Union of the Ministry of Justice were invited to listen to the dissemination of the program.

The gender promotion program is one of the strategic plans of the Lao Bar Association which was created to promote the participation of female lawyers in the administrative work of the Lao Bar Association and to promote female law students to become lawyers.
